MOVING TO NEW ZEALAND

Tim and I have decided to make the big move to New Zealand. We've loved our time in Philadelphia, but the time has come for us to move on. Our apartment has been a disaster for the past month or so while we try to sell / donate as much of our possessions as possible. We are both very sentimental and tend to be pack rats, so it's been quite the struggle to purge almost everything we own. But it's also a very freeing feeling to detach from your "things" and to just see them as things. That being said, we have a long 2 weeks ahead of us as we make the final push to leave our apartment.

Leaving this space will be hard for me, I just know it. There's a wood panel on Max's door frame with markings for his growth since he was 5 months old. We've been living here for nearly 3 years and these walls have seen Max's first crawl, his first steps, first words, first run and so many precious moments we've had as a family. But I know we'll make more memories wherever we go, and all that matters is that we're together. As sappy as that sounds, it's true and it's making me feel a little better about this shift!

We'll be staying with my family in Indiana for about a month before we leave. We wanted to get some quality time in before leaving for NZ for the foreseeable future. I'm very excited for this next season in our lives and can't wait to see what the future holds.
